TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD - Harper Lee

There would be a handful of people who did not like their childhood days and do not miss them at all. This book will definitely bring you back to your childhood.

The protagonist in the book is a small girl who lives with her brother and her father who is a lawyer by profession. The entire book is looked upon with the perspective of a child's point of view and how they feel about societal injustice and flaws in it.

The book tells us about the volatile behavior of the society towards a community and how it affects the lives of the children.

"Lawyers, I suppose, were children once."

-Charles Lamb

It tells a lot about lawyers and their lives too.The way her father had made her to live a life is commendable. They watch their words quite carefully.

As the paperback says that a black man was charged against the rape of a white girl. This was a huge lie served in the court. The way her father, Mr.Atticus tackles the situation and made a way for the truth to come out was marvelous in its own ways. You get glued to the book at that time.

The truth will blow your mind and how the society will take all this will also be a real thing and hard to digest.

Here are some excerpts from the book:

"People in their right minds never take pride in their talents."

"I wanted you to see what real courage is , instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do "

"Clowns are sad, it's folks that laugh at them."
