The Mahakal

The well known city of the MAHAKAL or the Lord Shiva is just amazing in its own way. Situated in the middle of the country, Ujjain worth a visit.

BHASMARTI:

It's just like, the enthusiasm of the disciples of the Lord Shiva will just amaze you. Right starting from the the very famous Bhasmarthi which occurs in the early hours of the day, is just commendable. But the struggle that we had to make is really tiring.

At first, we've to book the places, by giving our proper IDs, a day before the arti , then the very next morning or in dawn, we've to get ready in our dhotis and sarees. According to the rules, you are not allowed inside if you'll not be there in proper outfit. When we reached the main temple at around 12.30 in the night, we waited till morning up to 4 am. When the queue trudged a little, then we went running errands to the Mahakal to have the awaited darshan.

When we reached  further more inside the temple, all our hard work and sacrifice payed us at that very moment. It was all the matter of fraction of seconds. Within seconds you have to touch the sacred Shiva Stone and within a wink you're out of the very compartment. The trip was truly worthy.
