IN THE LANDS OF THE BRAVES....

IN THE LANDS OF THE BRAVES...

I can proudly say that I had lived on the most sacred land of the country for more than two years. Yes, it is the one and only PUNJAB. It is the land of five rivers where you can literally meet the most brave men of the country. It lies in the Northern India, where the people wear turbans as a matter of their pride and valor. As a blogger here, I would love to share my wonderful experience that I had the at some of the most visited places.

  1. GOLDEN TEMPLE :-     The Golden Temple Complex set in the heart of          Amritsar is the holiest shrine of the Sikhs.

Here I stand with my father, when I was 12 years old. We had reached there early in the morning and and greeted the Holy Baba inside the temple. The water body behind us is actually the lake that is there so that the pilgrims can get pure by plunging into the lake. There are fishes too inside the lake. We fed them too.
The construction of Harmandir Sahib was intended to build a place of worship for men and women from all walks of life and all religions to worship God equally. The four entrances (representing the four directions) to get into the Harmandir Sahib also symbolise the openness of the Sikhs towards all people and religions.[7] Over 100,000 people visit the shrine daily for worship, and also partake jointly in the free community kitchen and meal (Langar) regardless of any distinctions, a tradition that is a hallmark of all Sikh Gurdwaras.
